Days tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon your arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and taken on a brief tour of the bustling economic capital of Morocco – Casablanca city. Depending on your flight’s arrival time, we suggest visiting the magnificent Hassan II mosque, the second-largest mosque in the world, with the capacity to accommodate 25,000 worshippers. Located on a promontory on the west coast of the city, the mosque overlooks the Atlantic ocean. You will have free time for lunch and then explore the city, including a visit to the beautiful Cornish of Casablanca. You will stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will drive along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the current capital. Located in the northwest of Morocco, you will visit the highlights of the city, including the Hassan tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. You will have free time for lunch, and in the afternoon, we will head north through Ouazzane to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. This city is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in blue, and you will stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 3: Sightseeing in Chefchaouen, the Blue City

After breakfast, we will explore Chefchaouen, also known as Achaoun, meaning horns in Berber. The city is located in the Rif Mountains in northwest Morocco and is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in white and blue. Firstly, we will stroll through the charming old Medina, which has many beautiful authentic blue doors and whitewashed walls. You will have free time for lunch, and in the afternoon, you can hike to the Spanish mosque located on high ground, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the whole Blue City. You will stay overnight in the same hotel.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll through the charming alleyways of the blue city, Chefchaouen. Then, we drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site features well-preserved mosaics, pillars, and archways. Following our exploration of the ruins, we drive 30 km to Meknes, one of the imperial cities and considered the Ismail capital. We’ll visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. From there, we head to Fes for an overnight stay at a riad.

Day 5: Guided tour sightseeing Fes

Today, we’ll explore the highlights of Fes with a local guide. Fes is one of the imperial cities and serves as the cultural and religious center of Morocco. Our tour will start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate and the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll visit the Blue gate or Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the old Medina, a labyrinth of alleyways and streets. We’ll also visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin mosque and university, the oldest university in the world. Afterward, we’ll visit the Jewish quarter or “the Mellah” and drive to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes before returning to our riad.

Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

After an early breakfast, we’ll start our ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll spend most of the day driving through beautiful lush forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as we cross the Atlas Mountains and descend towards the Sahara desert. We’ll stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. From there, we’ll continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz, passing through kasbahs and palm groves, and heading towards the adobe-colored city of Er-Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. Our journey will continue to the dunes of Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 7: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

After breakfast, you will start exploring the Merzouga region, which boasts numerous incredible sites, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, and fabulous oases, making it an ideal location for outdoor activities. You will begin by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine in Merzouga, followed by a visit to the nomads in their handmade woven tent, where you can learn about their way of life while sipping on Berber tea. Next, you will head to the Khamlia village, where you can enjoy the Gnaoua music and dance performances of its inhabitants, who originate from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You will then have free time for lunch at a restaurant before taking a stroll through a palm grove. Afterward, you will switch to camels and cross the sandy desert, stopping atop a high dune to enjoy the sunset before continuing to the desert camp. The camp is a blend of traditional nomadic tents and hotel luxury, where you can savor Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp will be a night you won’t forget.

Day 8: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacular sunrise, when the colors of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. After breakfast, you will return on camelback or by 4×4 and head back to Rissani and Erfoud. From Erfoud, you will set out behind the High Atlas Mountains en route to the Todra Gorges for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a walk up the towering Todra Gorges, which have sheer cliffs of 985 feet high. The picturesque river valleys make for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco. Then continue your journey towards another impressive Dades Gorges, passing by the strange rock formations of Tamnalt Hills. You will spend the night in the heart of the Dades Gorges, lined by red and mauve rocks, in a hotel.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day, you will continue your trip to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley, where a Rose Festival is held annually in May, and the locals offer their rose products, such as perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetic products. You will then drive through the palm groves of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate and visit the studios where famous movies were shot. Next, you will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV series like Game Of Thrones. Finally, you will drive through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch and to take pictures at interesting spots, before reaching Marrakech. From there, you will be driven to the airport or your accommodation.

Day 10: Marrakesh Sightseeing Tour

After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a guided tour of the highlights of Marrakesh with a local guide. The city is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco and has a rich cultural heritage. The tour includes a visit to the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, and a stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. You will have free time for lunch near the lively Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, we will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh, and the beautiful Majorelle Garden. Finally, we will transfer you back to your accommodation. You are free to explore the vibrant Jemaa El-Fna square on your own.

Day 11: Marrakesh to Essaouira

After breakfast, we will drive west towards Essaouira. Along the way, we will make stops to see the famous Argan trees and the tree-climbing goats, as well as for panoramic views. We will reach Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, which is a beautiful coastal city known for its diverse seafood, stunning beaches, and surfing opportunities. We will visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and the old Medina. Finally, we will transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira to Casablanca

On the last day of your 12-day trip to Morocco, we will depart from Essaouira and drive along the scenic coastline. We will make stops along the way for panoramic views. Finally, we will reach Casablanca airport, depending on your flight time.
