1-Day  Marrakech – Zagora

We will depart from Marrakech in the morning and head towards Zagora, crossing the High Atlas and traversing the pass of Tizi-n-Tichka, which stands at an altitude of 2260 meters. Throughout the journey, we will stop at various panoramic viewpoints to capture the stunning landscapes with our cameras. After passing Ouarzazate, we will reach the valley of Draa, where we will halt for lunch at Agdez.
In the afternoon, we will embark on an off-road adventure along the Draa valley and follow the ancient caravan route that meanders through the mountains and alongside the river. Eventually, we will reach Zagora, which is known as the gateway to the Sahara desert. Here, we will experience a memorable camel trek and witness the breathtaking sunset before enjoying a delicious dinner at the Nakhla dunes. For the night, we will stay in nomad tents at the bivouac.

2-Day  Zagora – Erg Chegaga Sahara Desert

After enjoying breakfast, we will ride camels back to Zagora. Following this, we will set out on a drive towards the south, making our way to M’hamid, which marks the end of the paved road. Along the way, we will stop at Tamagroute, where you can explore the Qoranic Library, the underground kasbah, and the pottery factory. Our lunch stop will be at M’hamid.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a thrilling journey to the dunes of Chagaga, which stand at a height of 300 meters. This 65-kilometer off-road route showcases a variety of desert features, including ‘erg’, ‘reg’, ‘hammada’, and oases. The view of the sunset from the top of the Erg Chagaga dunes is nothing short of spectacular. Once the sun sets, we will have dinner and spend the night in nomad tents located at the base of the dunes.

3-Day  Erg Chegaga Sahara Desert – Marrakech

Following breakfast, we will hit the road once again and travel through another 100 kilometers of the Moroccan Sahara desert, passing the Iriqui Lake and mountains, as well as fascinating fossils for enthusiasts to discover. The first village we encounter beyond the desert is Foum Zguid, where we will stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will head north towards Taznakht, a quaint Berber town renowned for its beautiful rugs. Along the way, we will drive past verdant hills and palm tree oases. We will arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, bringing an end to this incredible journey.
