Overview
In short: a private 5-day, 4-night loop from Marrakech that combines the Sahara and the Atlantic: Ait Ben Haddou and the Draa valley, a camel ride and night in a desert camp at Erg Chigaga, then Taroudant, Agadir, Taghazout and Essaouira – from €690 per person.
This tour is for travellers who want the desert and the sea in one trip. After crossing the High Atlas to Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou, you follow the Draa valley south through Agdez, Zagora and M’hamid, then drive off-road to the remote dunes of Erg Chigaga for sunset and a night in camp. The route then crosses the stony desert and the dry Iriqui lake to Foum Zguid, climbs through the saffron country of Taliouine to Taroudant, and reaches the coast at Agadir and the surf village of Taghazout before ending with a night in Essaouira.
